The Illinois Sleep Society Board was honored with the participation of an incredible expert panel in 2023. Particularly with the presence of Dr. Mary A. Carskadon as our keynote speaker.
Dr. Mary A. Carskadon, Keynote speaker and winner of numerous awards in sleep medicine, including lifetime achievement awards and the William C Dement award. Dr. Carskadon kicked off the meeting discussing the history and future of the MSLT and shared her experience in a life-long research and academic career.
The conference was held in person at our Advocate Christ, Oak Lawn location presented live and in a hybrid format for those who could not join us in person. For fun, it included games, networking opportunities and raffles.
After attending the conference, learners left the activity with enhanced knowledge about topics such as the importance of the MSLT, challenging titrations in NIV, REM sleep behavior disorders, dental sleep therapies, and pediatric PAP.
