Speakers: Thomas Inge, MD, PhD and Caren Mangarelli, MD

Dr. Inge is an internationally recognized surgeon-scientist who joined Lurie Children’s as Surgeon-in-Chief and a director of Bariatric Surgery Program in November 2021. Dr. Inge is renowned for his expertise in pediatric bariatric surgery and research. He previously served at Children’s Hospital of Colorado, where he was the Associate Surgeon-in-Chief. He was also the Division Chief of Pediatric Surgery, Director of the Adolescent Bariatric Surgery program, and a Professor of Surgery and Pediatrics at the University of Colorado Denver School of Medicine

Dr. Mangarelli is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics who is working with Wellness & Weight Management and Spine Bifida Programs. Dr. Mangarelli graduated from the University of Illinois College of Medicine and Pediatric residency program at the University of Chicago Comer’s Children’s hospital.
